As a female entrepreneurs, we are constantly striving to achieve our goals and take our business to new heights. There are certain work responsibilities that need to be met consistently, on a daily basis. And there are others that have more flexibility and can be synced the corresponding optimal phase of the menstrual cycle. I aim to sync 10-20% of my work to the corresponding optimal phase. By riding the rhythms of deep work and mindful rest you can optimize your productivity, creativity, and overall well-being.

Phase 1: Menstruation

During your period, you may experience physical discomfort and fatigue. This is a good time to focus on tasks that require less energy and concentration. Consider scheduling meetings, networking events, and rote work like balancing the spreadsheets. Additionally, this is a great time to focus on self-care and recharging your energy levels. Taking breaks, practicing meditation, or engaging in gentle exercise such as yoga can be beneficial during this phase.

Phase 2: The Late Follicular Phase

During the follicular phase, your energy levels start to increase. This is a great time to focus on planning and strategizing for your business. Consider scheduling brainstorming sessions, setting goals, or working on long-term projects during this phase. Additionally, this is a good time to network, attend events, or meet with potential clients or collaborators.

Phase 3: Ovulation

During the ovulation phase, you may experience a surge in energy and creativity. This is a great time to tackle challenging tasks or projects that require focus and attention to detail. Consider scheduling important meetings, presentations, or other high-stakes events during this phase. This is often the most extroverted phase, so schedule pitches and create content now.

Phase 4: Luteal Phase

During the luteal phase, you may experience mood changes, fatigue, and decreased energy levels. This is a good time to focus on completing tasks and tying up loose ends. Consider scheduling administrative tasks, organizing your workspace, or completing tasks that require attention to detail during this phase. Additionally, this is a great time to focus on self-care and relaxation, such as taking a bath, practicing yoga, or spending time outdoors.

By understanding the different phases of your cycle and the tasks that are best suited to each phase, you can take control of your productivity and achieve your goals with greater ease and efficiency.
